Marc Tremblay has a geological engineering formation and has a diploma from the École française de descente de canyon. His caving expeditions have brought him throughout the continent, from the vast cave systems lying under Mexico's jungle to the meltwater chasms of the Greenland icecap. Many of his underground pictures were published in various magazines and won international prizes. He is codirecting caving movies with his fellow Guillaume Pelletier. He is also tourism freelance journalist for Le Soleil and CBC Radio-Canada.

Marc has been going to the Jean-Larose Falls for 30 years, first as a caver and now as a passionate canyonist. After many excursions in France canyons, he decided to develop the activity in Québec and his team has explored many new spectacular sites to discover in the regions of Québec City and Charlevoix.

Founder of Canyoning-Quebec in 2000, Marc Tremblay has been awarded Guide of the year 2007 for his contribution to adventure tourism in Québec and his ability to implement risk management into a vertical outdoor activity. Canyoning-Quebec was awarded tourism prizes in 2003, 2004, 2007 and 2010.

Have a look to his favourite project in the mexican jungle with the Quebec Caving Society, in the Sierra Negra. A team went in 2009 to finish the traverse of Tres Quimeras, second deepest through trip in the Americas with 815 meters of depth. Marc Tremblay and Guillaume Pelletier have finished their movie project and are working on a second caving movie on the theme of claustrophobia. A new expedition is scheduled in February 2012.

Canyoning-Québec is certified by Aventure écotourisme Québec and is also member of Québec City and Area Tourism Bureau and Association touristique régionale de Charlevoix.

FOUR SITES IN CHARLEVOIX REGION!

We are glad to propose four canyons for our visitors, located to the east of Mont-Sainte-Anne, with spectacular maritime landscapes. Excursions will be leaving from our usual rendez-vous point. A new canyon has been opened in 2008 at Baie-Saint-Paul. Another one, wilder, is offered in the backyards of Charlevoix.
